Discussion

The diagnosis follows Piovesan et al. (2013). After a major review of the genera Amphicytherura and Aracajuia by Antonietto et al. (2013), the species has been transferred to the latter.

Taxonomy
Aracajuia fragilis was named by Piovesan and Nicolaidis (2013) [Antonietto et al. (2016) age data: Cretaceous, Albian. Reference number: 64788.]. Its type specimen is ULVG-9438, a shell (Carapace), and it is a 3D body fossil.
