Taxonomy
Ammonites eudoxus was named by d'Orbigny (1850). Its type specimen is MNHN.F.R02903 and is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Aulacostephanus (Aulacostephanoceras) eudoxus by Mesezhnikov (1984); it was recombined as Aulacostephanus eudoxus by Grigore and Marcu (2009).
