---|---|---|
E. H. Colbert 1946 | Skull compressed and deep, especially in the facial region. Internal nares anteriorly placed, the front border being formed by the palatines, the back border by the pterygoids; palatine tube incipient. Well-developed quadratojugal-surangular articulation; quadrate inclined. Supratemporal fenestra rather small, broader than long. Four teeth in the premaxilla, 10 in the maxilla, and 13 in the dentary, none of which are greatly differentiated as to size. The pre- maxillary and anterior dentary teeth are rounded in cross section, while the other teeth are laterally compressed, with well-developed serrations on the anterior and posterior cutting edges. There is a shallow notch along the premaxillary-maxillary suture for the reception of the fourth dentary tooth. | |
A. B. Busbey 1986 | Articular process directed posteromedially with no dorsal curvature. Medial edge of articular shelf deflected ventrally along the medial side of the articular. No surangular lappet between angular and articular. Reduced and simplified osteoscutes lacking heavy sculpturing. |
