Taxonomy
Aetheretmon valentiacum was named by White (1927). Its type specimen is NHM P.13145, P.13146, part and counterpart, a partial skeleton (Imperfect fish), and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Foulden Locality, which is in the Mississippian of mudstone/siltstone the United Kingdom. It is the type species of Aetheretmon.
