Taxonomy
Peridionites navicula was named by Whitehouse (1941). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Thorntonia Section. Bed G, which is in a Templetonian carbonate limestone in the Thorntonia Limestone Formation of Australia. It is the type species of Peridionites.
