Galeodea (Gomphopages) meganosensis
Taxonomy
Galeodea sutterensis meganosensis was named by Vokes (1939). Its type specimen is UCMP 31244 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is UCMP 3152, Deer Valley, which is in a Ypresian coastal sandstone in the Meganos Formation of California.
It was recombined as Galeodea (Gomphopages) meganosensis by Durham (1942) and Squires (1987); it was recombined as Galeodea meganosensis by Squires (2019) and Hendy (2020).
