Riabininohadros weberae
Taxonomy
Orthomerus weberi was named by Riabinin (1946). Its type specimen is ZGTM 1.5751–9/5751, a set of limb elements, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Mt. Besh-Kosh, Crimea, which is in a Maastrichtian marine limestone in Ukraine. It is the type species of Riabininohadros.
It was corrected as Orthomerus weberae by Nessov (1995); it was recombined as Riabininohadros weberi by Ulansky (2015); it was considered a nomen dubium by Brinkmann (1988), Weishampel and Horner (1990), Norman and Sues (2000), Horner et al. (2004), Godefroit and Motchurova-Dekova (2010) and Dalla Vecchia (2014); it was recombined as Riabininohadros weberae by Lopatin et al. (2018), Averianov and Efimov (2018) and Lopatin and Averianov (2019).
It was corrected as Orthomerus weberae by Nessov (1995); it was recombined as Riabininohadros weberi by Ulansky (2015); it was considered a nomen dubium by Brinkmann (1988), Weishampel and Horner (1990), Norman and Sues (2000), Horner et al.
