Katastrophomena admiratio was named by Harper (2006). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Glenmard Quarry, Kilgrammie Wood, which is in a Cautleyan marginal marine mudstone in the Quarrel Hill Formation of the United Kingdom.
