Oneotodus variabilis was named by Lindström (1955) [= 1974 Drepanoistodus acuminatus (Pander) - van Wamel, p. 62-63 (pars), pI. 2, figs. 4, ?5 (only).
= 1983 "Scolopodus" gracilis Ethington & Clark. Landing text f. 19. 10 .]. It is a 3D body fossil.
