Metambonites subcarinatus

Taxonomy
Metambonites subcarinatus was named by Popov and Cocks (2006). Its type specimen is BC 57733, a shell (mould of conjoined dorsal and ventral valves), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Loc. 828. Northern Dulankara Mountains, which is in a Katian marginal marine siltstone/mudstone in the Dulankara Formation of Kazakhstan.
