Athleta taikoensis
Taxonomy
Athleta taikoensis was named by Maxwell (2003). Its type specimen is TM 8244, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Left bank 10-30m upstream to 5-15m downstream from Evans Crossing, Pareora River, which is in a Bortonian deep-water sandstone/siltstone in the Waihao Greensand Formation of New Zealand.
