Veterupristisaurus milneri
Taxonomy
Veterupristisaurus milneri was named by Rauhut (2011). Its type specimen is MB.R.1938 (St 270), a set of vertebrae (middle caudal vertebra), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Tendaguru quarry St, which is in a Kimmeridgian estuary/bay marl in the Tendaguru Formation of Tanzania. It is the type species of Veterupristisaurus.
