Taxonomy
Comitas (Boreocomitas) oregonensis was named by Hickman (1976). Its type specimen is USNM 216393 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is USGS 15518, which is in a Rupelian marine horizon in the Keasey Formation of Oregon.
