Taxonomy
Eugonophyllum johnsonii was named by Konishi and Wray (1961). It is not extant. Its type locality is Paleobotany Loc. D978, Pray 1961, which is in a Virgilian carbonate limestone in the Holder Formation of New Mexico. It is the type species of Eugonophyllum.
