Nuttallia townsendensis

Bivalvia - Cardiida - Psammobiidae

Taxonomy
Sanguinolaria (Nuttallia) townsendensis was named by Clark (1925). Its type specimen is LSJU 50 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Townsend Bay, which is in an Eocene marine shale in the Townsend Shale Formation of Washington.

It was recombined as Nuttallia townsendensis by Hendy (2020).
