Taxonomy
Prohysteroceras dubium was named by Spath (1922). Its type specimen is BMNH C.20051, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Locality 1, Shore at Old Lobito, which is in an Albian carbonate limestone in Angola.
