Taxonomy
Aplococeras orobicum was named by Fantini Sestini (1994). It is not extant. Its type specimen is N. 9104, Museo Civico di Storia Naturale, Bergamo. Its type locality is Val Parina, S944, which is in a Fassanian perireef or subreef limestone in the Esino Formation of Italy.
