Taxonomy
Squalicorax bernardezi was named by Guinot et al. (2013). Its type specimen is University of Montpellier JUH1-28, a tooth, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Justine-Herbigny (JUH), which is in a Turonian carbonate chalk in France.
