Taxonomy
Ophiceras nopcsanum was named by Welter (1922). It is not extant. Its type locality is Lidak (Ophiceras beds), which is in a Smithian carbonate limestone in Indonesia.

It was recombined as Pseudoflemingites nopcsanum by Spath (1934).
