Taxonomy
Cretalamna gertericorum was named by Siversson et al. (2015). Its type specimen is UM-BET 5, a tooth, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is SECAB quarry, Bettrechies, which is in a Turonian carbonate limestone in France.
