McGrew 1938Dental formula I3/3 C?/1 P?/3 M3/3; larger than any known Hypohippus; cheek teeth essentially like those of Hypohippus, but much larger; incisors procumbent and very large; i1 with anteroposterior diameter one-third greater than transverse diameter; i1 one·third larger than i3; upper premolars with continuous inner cingulum.
