Taxonomy
Globochelus lennieri was named by de Lapparent de Broin et al. (2021). Its type specimen is MHNH 2016.38.5060 = MNHN 8917, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Sainte-Adresse, Cap de La Hève, which is in a Kimmeridgian marine horizon in the Marnes à Deltoideum delta Formation of France. It is the type species of Globochelus.
