Taxonomy
Diaphus apalus was named by Schwarzhans and Aguilera (2013). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is PPP 2206, which is in a Messinian slope/ramp reef sandstone/siltstone in the Nancy Point Formation of Panama.
