Ammonites kridion was named by Zieten (1830). It is not extant. It is the type species of Coroniceras, Arnioceratoides.
It was recombined as Arnioceratoides kridion by Spath (1922); it was recombined as Coroniceras kridion by Corna and Dommergues (1995).
