Taxonomy
Niobe (Niobella) obscura was named by Zhou and Zhou (2019). Its type specimen is WIGM OT0120, a cephalon/head (cranidium), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Hod26, Huanghuachang section, which is in a Floian carbonate limestone in the Dawan Formation of China.
