It was recombined as Titanotherium amplum by Osborn (1896); it was recombined as Megacerops amplus by Hay (1902); it was recombined as Allops amplus by Osborn (1902); it was recombined as Menodus amplus by Clark and Beerbower (1967); it was recombined as Brontops amplus by Osborn (1929), Mader (1989), Mader (1998).
