Erethizon cascoensis
Taxonomy
Coendou cascoensis was named by White (1970). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is El Casco, which is in an Irvingtonian terrestrial horizon in the San Timoteo Formation of California.
It was recombined as Erethizon cascoensis by Frazier (1981), Hulbert (1997), Albright (1999).
