Thanatosdrakon amaru
Taxonomy
Thanatosdrakon amaru was named by Ortiz David et al. (2022). Its type specimen is UNCUYO-LD 307, a partial skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Agua del Padrillo, which is in a Coniacian/Santonian floodplain mudstone in the Plottier Formation of Argentina. It is the type species of Thanatosdrakon.
