Indonyctia cambayensis
Taxonomy
Indonyctia cambayensis was named by Das et al. (2022). Its type specimen is IITR/SB/VLM 929, a mandible (left dentary with crowns for p4, m2 and m3, and posterior alveolus for p3 and alveoli for m1), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Vastan Lignite Mine (IIT Roorkee collection), which is in a Ypresian marine siliciclastic in the Cambay Shale Formation of India. It is the type species of Indonyctia.
