Taxonomy
Diplesioceras fischeri was named by Dietze et al. (2022). Its type specimen is SMNS 70658, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Port-en-Bessin, which is in a Parkinsoni carbonate limestone in the Oolithe de Bayeux Formation of France.
