Taxonomy
Cyphaspis walteri was named by Van Viersen and Prescher (2014). Its type specimen is IRSNB a12875, an exoskeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Cyphaspis horizon, Mrakib, which is in a Givetian carbonate limestone in the Bou-Dib Formation of Morocco.
