Taxonomy
Taeniopteris dentata was named by Rao and Jacob (1957). It is not extant. Its type locality is Mandro, Rajmahal Hills, which is in a Jurassic fluvial horizon in the Rajmahal Formation of India.
It was recombined as Morrisia dentata by Bose and Banerji (1981), Chandra and Tewari (1991).
