Cobelodus knightianus

Taxonomy
Styptobasis knightiana was named by Cope (1891). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Blue Springs section, bed 8, which is in an Artinskian carbonate limestone in the Barneston Formation of Nebraska.

It was recombined as Cladodus knightianus by Eastman (1903); it was recombined as Cobelodus knightianus by Zangerl (1973) and Ivanov (2017).
