Tanazios dokeron was named by Siveter et al. (2007). It is not extant. Its type locality is Herefordshire Konservat-Lagerstätte, which is in a Wenlock basinal (carbonate) carbonate/volcaniclastic in the United Kingdom. It is the type species of Tanazios.
