It was assigned to Ichnofossils by Hantzschel (1975); to Cnidaria by Sepkoski (2002); and to Mackenziidae by Runnegar et al. (2024).

B. Runnegar et al. 2024Narrow conical organism with about 10–12 longitudinal ridges that may be the edges of, and internally septate, pleated body wall, possibly enclosed in similarly corrugated unmineralized epitheca.
