Taxonomy
Cyclothyris ementitum was named by Berrocal-Casero et al. (2023). Its type specimen is SC1003, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Sierra del Cid, bed 10, which is in an Albian carbonate limestone in Spain.
