M. Arnal et al. 2022Upper and lower cheek teeth tending to taeniodonty, unlike in Eoespina woodi, Eosachacui lavocati, and Mayomys confluens. Upper cheek teeth with reduced mesoloph contribution of the third crest, unlike in Eoespina woodi and Cachiyacuy kummeli. The mesolophule connects to the mure on the lingual half of the tooth, unlike in species of Eoincamys, Pozomys, Tarapotomys, and Chambiramys. A conspicuous and isolated mesostyle, unlike in Mayomys confluens. Lower molars without neomesolophid and with short metalophulid II, unlike in Eoespina woodi, Canaanimys maquiensis, and Chambiramys sylvaticus.
