Taxonomy
Mamulichthys ignotus was named by Minikh (2014). It is not extant. Its type specimen is SGU 104-B/3190, a partial skeleton (anterior body part with the head, pectoral and dorsal fin spines, and partially preserved lateral and abdominal scales). It is the type species of Mamulichthys.
