Litocherus lacunatus
Taxonomy
Litolestes lacunatus was named by Gazin (1956). Its type specimen is USNM 21016, a mandible, and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Titanoides Locality, which is in a Tiffanian terrestrial horizon in Wyoming.
It was recombined as Litocherus lacunatus by Gingerich (1983), Novacek et al. (1985), Hartman (1986).
