Machaeromeryx tragulus
Taxonomy
Machaeromeryx tragulus was named by Matthew (1926). Its type specimen is A.M. 20548, a skeleton (skull, jaws, and nearly complete skeleton), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Agate (5-7 Miles NE), which is in a Harrisonian terrestrial horizon in the Marsland Formation of Nebraska. It is the type species of Machaeromeryx.
