Casadío et al. 2005Shell subequivalve, ovoid to subtrigonal; adductor muscle scar subcentral to slightly posterior; ornament of 7e12 simple, bifurcating or even trifurcating radial ribs, with spines, reaching up to 30 along shell margin and producing sharp crests along it which fit into corresponding grooves along the margin of opposite valve.
