Taxonomy
Meniscoessus collomensis was named by Lillegraven (1987) [status questioned by Hunter and Pearson 1996]. Its type locality is Jubb Creek, which is in a Campanian/Maastrichtian fluvial-deltaic mudstone/sandstone in the Williams Fork Formation of Colorado.
