Morio tuberculatus trituberculatus was named by Weaver (1912) [Morio tuberculatus tri-tuberculatus n. var.]. It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is UW 1, Cowlitz Formation, which is in a Bartonian marine horizon in the Cowlitz Formation of Washington.
