Taxonomy
Cancellotomaria boninsegnai was named by Monari and Dellantonio (2024). Its type specimen is MCP1081, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Sample M3B, Pian dei Fiacconi, Marmolada, which is in an Illyrian slope grainstone in the Sciliar Formation of Italy.
