Taxonomy
Bostrychoceras californicum was named by Anderson (1958). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is UCLA loc. 3461, west side of Anchor Avenue, Cheviot Hills, which is in a Pleistocene coastal siltstone in the Anchor Formation of California.
