Serpula batequensis

Taxonomy
Serpula batequensis was named by Squires and Demetrion (1992). Its type specimen is IGM 5153 (= LACMIP plastoholotype 8854) and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is CSUN Loc. 1470 [Bateque Fm], which is in a Ypresian transition zone/lower shoreface sandstone/limestone in the Bateque Formation of Mexico.
