Taxonomy
Aspidoceras subdistractum was named by Waagen (1875). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is 1km N of Gangta Fort, Gangta Bet, which is in an Oxfordian/Kimmeridgian marine horizon in the Khadir Formation of India.
