Taxonomy
Ataxioceras (Schneidia) collignoni was named by Atrops (1982). It is not extant. Its type specimen is F.S.L. 18803. Its type locality is Montagne de Crussol (Ardèche) region, which is in a Kimmeridgian marine carbonate/marl in France. It is the type species of Ataxioceras (Schneidia).
