Ataxioceras (Schneidia) lussasense was named by Atrops (1982). It is not extant. Its type specimen is UCBL-FSL 225805. Its type locality is Ravin de Louyre (Ardèche), which is in a Kimmeridgian marine carbonate/marl in France.
