Taxonomy
Pyramidella slevini was named by Anderson and Hanna (1925). Its type specimen is CAS 979 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is CAS loc. 711, Grapevine Canyon, which is in a Lutetian marine sandstone in the Tejon Formation of California.
